Thomas Tuchel spoke to the media on Friday ahead of Chelsea’s next outing.
Chelsea will, of course, take on Liverpool in the 2022 FA Cup final this coming Saturday at Wembley.

Ahead of the game, Tuchel discussed a number of topics in his presser, including team news.
Firstly, the German had this to say on Mateo Kovacic: “We will try today which is pretty surprising news that we can even try it. Mateo wants to try it and the medical department wanted to try it. There’s no new injury but heavy pain.”

Tuchel then provided an update on N’Golo Kante: “He is also trying, he trained yesterday with more or less everything, we hope he doesn’t have a reaction.”

Chelsea vs Liverpool
Chelsea head into the game aiming to salvage a pretty poor 2021/22. The Blues were expected to compete for the league title, but injuries to Ben Chilwell and Reece James derailed that for the most part.
Elsewhere, the Londoners lost to Liverpool in the League Cup final and, despite winning the second leg, were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in the quarter-final.
As a result, should they fail to beat Liverpool on Saturday, a case could be made that it is their worst season for many, many years as even though Frank Lampard did not win anything during his only full campaign as manager, the Englishman was in charge of the club when they had a transfer ban.
