Arsenal have revealed their new home kit for the upcoming 2022/23 season. The north London club are unsurprisingly sticking to the red and white theme that has been symbolic of their side for living memory, with the shirt being largely red with white sleeves.
Perhaps the most divisive element, however, is the addition of a collar to the shirt, which is white for the most part but features red lightning bolts running around the bottom.

The Gunners will debut their home kit in the final game of the season at the Emirates stadium against Everton on Sunday, where they know that they need to win and hope Tottenham lose to already relegated Norwich to stand any chance of Champions League football next season.
Martinelli no.11
And, in going to buy the kit, Arsenal fans were quick to notice a change to their squad numbers, and more specifically to Gabriel Martinelli.
The young Brazilian has been wearing the no.35 shirt since he arrived in the summer of 2019, but is set to be promoted up the ranks, picking up the vacant no.11 shirt for next season, if the Arsenal site is anything to go by.

The shirt was most recently worn by Martin Odegaard, who now owns the no.8, while previously it has also been seen on the back of Lucas Torreira, Mesut Ozil, Andre Santos and Robin van Persie.
