David Moyes spoke to the media on Friday ahead of West Ham’s final outing of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.
West Ham will face off with Brighton at 4 pm UK time on Sunday at the same time the remaining 18 Premier League sides are in action.
Moyes discussed a number of topics ahead of the game, including team news. The Scotsman stateds that Said Benrahma should be fit to face Brighton but Issa Diop is not ready to play:
“Said Benrahma should be fit for the game. Issa Diop’s ankle is not quite right yet, but we’d expect Benrahma to be available,” Moyes said.
“Mark’s played well enough to play in the team and be involved, so if the right opportunity comes along, then yes, but I’ll only do what I think’s right to get the best result. Obviously it’ll be a big day for him.”

Brighton vs West Ham
West Ham head into the Brighton game knowing they need a win if they are to secure a Europa League spot for next season.
The Hammers are currently 7th in the Premier League and are guaranteed a Europa Conference League place no matter their result on Sunday.
However, Moyes and co. would still no doubt rather be playing in the Europa League next term.
To do so, West Ham must beat Brighton and then hope Manchester United, who are sat 7th two points clear of the east Londoners with a much worse goal difference, draw or lose vs Crystal Palace.
As for Brighton, they are on course for their highest ever Premier League finish, with their previous best effort 15th in 2017/18 and 2019/20.
