Champions League finalists Real Madrid are undergoing final preparations in Paris as the Spanish giants are set to clash with Premier League elite in Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool, but the La Liga champions still have one eye focused on the summer as they continue to monitor Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry.
Gnabry – 26 – is out of contract in Bavaria at the end of next season, and could well walk away from the club this summer if he does not earn a contract extension at the Allianz Arena.
Update #Gnabry: He‘s on the list of Real Madrid as reported weeks ago. They are interested but it’s far away of being concrete. No offer. No negotiations between the clubs. It is still said that the chances of his extension are 50/50. My feeling: He will leave Bayern. @SkySportDE

According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Gnabry remains on the shortlist at Madrid as a possible transfer target this summer but continues to only keep tabs on the situation from a distance for the time being.
Plettenberg, and many others, are of the mind that Gnabry will look for new pastures this summer, and the continued links between Bayern and interest in Liverpool ace Sadio Mané could speak to that as well.
With Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman still at the club, and Bayern considering potential deals for a cadre of replacement center-forwards with Robert Lewandowski set to depart this summer, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Gnabry could leave unless he was viewed as the in-house replacement given the notion that he has been deployed as a center-forward previously.
But Gnabry will not view the tactical shift as enough of a reason to stay at Bayern unless he is granted a contract extension, which could force the Bavarians to cash in this summer but look for a proper central replacement in the vein of Sebastién Haller, Darwin Núñez, Patrik Schick, or Saša Kalajdžić.
Though Real can boast both Rodrygo and Marco Asensio as their right-sided attacking options, Gnabry would surely be an upgrade on both and could form a vaunted attacking trio alongside Karim Benzema and Vinicíus Júnior in the Spanish capital.
