Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski has, on Sunday, spoken out over his future with the club once more.
Speculation surrounding the future of Polish international Lewandowski has of course been rampant in the media for some time now.
This comes with the 33-year-old, fresh off another scintillating campaign in front of goal, eyeing a move away from Bavaria ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking ahead of the club’s final Bundesliga outing of the season earlier this month, Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed as much, albeit whilst adding that Lewandowski is expected to see out the remaining year on his current contract:
Bayern director Salihamidžić: “Yes, Lewandowski informed me that he didn’t want to accept our offer and he would like to LEAVE the club”, tells @SkySportDE 🚨🇵🇱 #FCBayern
“Our position has not changed, Lewa has a contract until 2023. That is a fact. Proposal from Barcelona? No”. pic.twitter.com/rONf7E121J

During an fresh exchange with the media this weekend, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his future was put to ‘Lewa’ once more.
The Pole, however, appeared keen to reiterate that he in fact has no intention of staying put for another year, in confirming that ‘it is difficult’ to envision him lining out at the Allianz Arena next season.
Robert Lewandowski:
“I think my situation is clear and it makes no sense to talk about it. It is difficult to say that I will play for Bayern next season.”

Mane imminent?
Should Lewandowski ultimately see his wish granted, and seal a summer move to Spain with Barcelona, then it appears that Bayern are already putting contingency plans in place to reinforce the club’s attacking ranks.
As confirmed by a host of reliable sources on Sunday, on the back of the club’s Champions League final heartbreak at the hands of Real Madrid, Sadio Mane has come to the decision to depart Liverpool.
And Bayern have emerged as early frontrunners for the Senegalese international’s signature, with some outlets having gone as far as to suggest that Mane is ‘very close’ to committing to terms with the German champions:
Sadio #Mané is very close to joining Bayern Munich. He has decided to leave Liverpool, Klopp and his teammates are informed.
PSG is not completely out of the race yet, but he prefers Bayern – as he can be the big star there.
