Ralf Rangnick has confirmed on Sunday, May 29 that he will no longer be working with Manchester United.
This comes despite the fact that Ralf Rangnick was, after a spell as interim manager, expected to take up a consultancy role for the Red Devils for two years.
Rangnick confirmed the news in a press conference with Austria on Sunday. Manchester United said this in their statement: “We would like to thank Ralf Rangnick for his efforts as interim manager over the past six months.
“By mutual agreement, Ralf will now focus solely on his new role as manager of the Austria national team and will not therefore be taking up a consultancy role at Old Trafford.
“We would like to wish Ralf the best of luck in this next chapter of his career.”

Ralf Rangnick’s Manchester United stint
Rangnick took charge of Manchester United on December 3 20221 following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The German went on to manage 29 games across various competitions. His record was not great, though, with Manchester United winning 11, drawing nine and losing nine.
Among his most embarrassing losses whilst at Old Trafford were 4-0 and 4-1 defeats at the hands of bitter rivals Liverpool and Manchester City. United were also be knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship outfit Middlesbrough whilst Rangnick was in the dugout.
Erik ten Hag has since been appointed Manchester United’s permanent boss, with Rangnick now set to just focus on the Austrian national side going forward.
