As per a report by the Daily Mail covered by 101 last month, Tottenham, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain are all ready to fight it out for the Brazilian forward’s signature. The 25-year-old, who can play through the middle as a lone forward or on the wing, is set to leave Everton this summer.
‘A number of clubs have shown an interest in the 25-year-old; Tottenham among those that are monitoring developments closely’, they reported.
The forward grabbed 10 goals and 5 assists in 30 Premier League appearances as he became a key part in the Toffees avoiding relegation.
Richarlison would certainly be an interesting prospect for Antonio Conte, as he would be able to provide cover for both Harry Kane and Heung Min-Son when required.
Tottenham handed early advantage
Of the three clubs, it is clear to see the attraction both of Real Madrid and PSG. However, Tottenham have been handed something of an advantage over the pair of European giants.
This comes as per Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the 25-year-old’s preference is to remain in the Premier League this summer, rather than challenge himself in a new league.
‘He would like to stay in the Premier League and changed agents in April precisely in view of a possible transfer already this summer’, Romano claimed via caught offside.
Of course, whether a Premier League club will stump up the required amount for Everton’s star is another matter, but it hands the initiative to the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal rather than clubs abroad.
