Liverpool star Sadio Mane has, on Friday, dropped a major hint over his desire to seek out an Anfield exit ahead of next season.
Senegalese international Mane, of course, has seen his name take centre stage in the headlines across the week to date.
This comes with the 30-year-old, fresh off suffering heartbreak in both the Premier League and Champions League, widely reported to have made his intentions to seek out pastures new in the summer known to those in a position of power at the club.
German champions Bayern Munich are understood to be the early frontrunners to seal a deal for Mane, with the Bavarians on the lookout for attacking reinforcements ahead of the predicted sales of both Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski.
Despite media outlets across England and Europe alike having all but assured that Mane will indeed be lining out in the colours of a new club beyond the summer, though, to this point, the winger himself had not publicly confirmed as much.
Speaking in a press conference whilst on international duty on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his future was put to Mane.
In a somewhat bizarre exchange, it is said to have been put to the Liverpool star that ‘60%-70% of Senegalese people’ are keen for him to move on this summer.
And Mane did not exactly make use of the opportunity to reassure the Reds faithful.
Instead, the ex-Southampton standout hinted that he intends to grant the wishes of his compatriots, revealing that he will ‘do what they want’.
