Fresh updates concerning two of Chelsea’s transfer targets this summer have emerged recently.
With the 2022 summer transfer window open in less than a week, Chelsea fans will be glad that the takeover of their club is finally complete and they can now focus on improving their squad for the 2022/23 campaign.
Already the west Londoners have been in the news a fair bit over the last week or so due to Romelu Lukaku’s desire to leave the club and return to Inter Milan.
However, Chelsea have also seen themselves linked with several players. Namely, FC Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele, who is a free agent at the end of June, and Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde, who Chelsea tried to sign last summer but pulled out because Sevilla demanded too high of a transfer fee.
Now, as mentioned above, fresh updates on the pair have emerged recently.
On the Kounde front, Fabrizio Romano reported that FC Barcelona are interested in the Frenchman, but there are no talks with Sevilla who want between €55-65m for the stopper. It is added that Chelsea are leading the race for him:

As for Dembele, football.london’s Adam Newson reports that Chelsea held talks with Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele over a free transfer, but no contract has been agreed:
