Tottenham have confirmed their second signing of the 2022 summer transfer window on Wednesday.
In an official statement put out on Wednesday morning, Tottenham wrote: “We are delighted to announce the transfer of Fraser Forster.
“The experienced goalkeeper has signed a contract with us until 2024 and will join the Club on 1 July following the expiration of his contract at Southampton.
“Fraser has made 134 Premier League appearances to date, keeping 42 clean sheets having joined Southampton from Celtic in August, 2014.”
✍️ We are delighted to announce the signing of Fraser Forster.
Welcome to Spurs, Fraser! 💙

Forster is Spurs’ second signing of the window, with the Lilywhites having already secured Ivan Perisic on a free transfer from Inter Milan.
Where else do Tottenham need to strengthen?
Forster and Perisic are both solid signings for Spurs, especially the latter who should bring some valuable experienced to the left-hand side of their defence.
However, Tottenham still have much work to do in the summer if they want to retain their top-four status and give a good account of themselves in the 2022/23 Champions League.
The main area Spurs need to strengthen in as at centre-back. Cristian Romero is their best player in this spot, whilst Eric Dier and Ben Davies have improved greatly under Antonio Conte.
But, Tottenham still need some more quality in that area, most notably on the left where Ben Davies is their only decent option.
So far, the north Londoners have been heavily linked with Pau Torres of Villarreal and Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni to fill this role.
