Chelsea are interested in luring Raheem Sterling to Stamford Bridge this summer, with a move though to be ‘possible’ due to the Englishman having just one year left on his current contract at the Etihad.
The Englishman has fallen down the pecking order in Manchester, and with the likely improvement of Jack Grealish this summer, along with the arrival of striker pair Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, it is unclear what his future holds.
He started neither of the semi-final legs against Real Madrid, and started just 23 times in their Premier League title win.
As a result, a move away could be possible, with the Telegraph reporting that ‘there is a growing feeling among top clubs that he will consider a move away’, and that ‘Chelsea [are] understood to be the English club displaying the greatest interest so far’.
The Blues have also been offered Gabriel Jesus as they look to strengthen their frontline, but they have prioritised working on their defence first.
Kounde latest
To that end, a move for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde is set to be completed soon, according to widespread reports.
The French defender has been on Thomas Tuchel’s radar for over a year, and as per Fabrizio Romano, personal talks are ‘well advanced’.
Jules Koundé deal, still priority for Chelsea. Tuchel wants him. Talks are well advanced on player side, while Sevilla are still waiting to receive the opening bid for the French centre back. 🔵 #CFC
Price tag will be around €65m, less than €80m release clause.

And, while no official bid has been made, there is hope that a deal can be struck for around £65m, which would take the total Sevilla sales to just below £100m following the departure of fellow centre-back Diego Carlos to Aston Villa.
