An update on Arsenal’s pursuit of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has emerged on Friday.
Osimhen is currently plying his trade in Serie A with Napoli, where he has scored 28 and assisted nine in 62 outings to date.
18 of those goals have come in 32 outings across all competitions this term – a solid record and one much better than any of Arsenal’s current striker options.
As a result, it was not too surprising to see the Nigerian linked with Arsenal over the last few weeks.
However, transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has provided an update on the situation recently and there does not look to be much movement on that front: ”Any offer for Osimhen must be exceptional, around €100M.
“And so far Arsenal and Bayern haven’t reached €85/90, it will be necessary to see if an offer will come from these clubs that will make Napoli stagger. Broja is a potential replacement”

Such a steep asking price may put the Gunners off, especially as their appears to be several more players of interest to them.
The main one has been Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City. However, a number of other Serie A forwards have also been linked.
Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone, Alvaro Morata of Juventus and Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo are just some of the names believed to have caught the eye of Arsenal recently.
