Albania vs Estonia
Albania conclude this three-game window still looking for their first win of 2022.
So far this month, Edoardo Reja’s side have played a pair of Nations League games which have produced disappointing results.
First, despite taking the lead through Taulant Seferi, they could only draw 1-1 with Iceland at Laugardalsvöllur.
Then, on Friday night, Armando Broja opened the scoring from the penalty spot as Israel visited Tirana.
But, the Blue and Whites fought back and scored twice in the second half, thereby claiming a 2-1 victory.
This leaves Albania third in Group B2, the only saving grace being that Russia have been disqualified, meaning the Eagles cannot be relegated.
Having also not won either of their friendlies in March, the Red and Blacks are aiming for their first victory since November.
Estonia meanwhile have enjoyed a successful month of Nations League games, albeit down in League D.
The Blueshirts have won both matches, beating San Marino 2-0 in Tallinn and then Malta 2-1 in Ta’ Qali.
The latter, against their rivals for promotion, saw Henri Anier slot home the winner deep in stoppage time.
In-between Thomas Häberli’s side faced Copa América winners Argentina in Pamplona and were hammered 5-0; a certain Lionel Messi with all five.
In a slightly less high-profile friendly at Arena Kombëtare, will there be a winner?
