Newly promoted side Nottingham Forest are preparing a bid for Manchester United outcast Dean Henderson as they seek a new shot-stopper following their return to the Premier League.
Their celebrations have been cut short amid concerns over the futures of some key players this summer, with Djed Spence expected to join Tottenham Hotspur after a successful loan at the City Ground.
Meanwhile, they were rocked as it emerged that goalkeeper Brice Samba will not sign a new contract in the midlands and plans on leaving this summer, meaning that they have been forced into the market for a new no.1
As per the Athletic, Samba views the new offer as unacceptable, though they are quick to stress that ‘Samba’s decision to turn down the offer and reluctantly seek an exit is said not to be financially motivated but about respect for his achievements, importance and popularity at the City Ground’.

Nottingham Forest to turn to Henderson
Now, Steve Cooper’s side have turned to Dean Henderson, who has been starved of football at Old Trafford, as they look to strengthen between the posts.
As per Fabrizio Romano, they are exploring a potential loan move for the 25-year-old, with an option to buy that could sit around £20m, with Henderson thought to be open to the move as he looks to find regular football to return to contention for Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup squad.

Though the talks remain in early stages, it is thought that Manchester United are willing to let their man leave should their price tag be met.
