A fresh insight into the plans of those in a position of power at Premier League giants Manchester United to reinforce the club’s squad ahead of next season has been provided on Friday.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is to be believed, then the Red Devils appear to have their sights set firmly on three targets.
The players in question? Frenkie de Jong, Vitinha and Malcolm Ebiowei.
Close followers of United will of course be well aware of the club’s ongoing pursuit of Barcelona midfielder de Jong, amid hope on the part of incoming boss Erik ten Hag of an Old Trafford reunion with his fellow countryman.
Vitinha, meanwhile, too plies his trade in the middle of the park, suggesting that the transfer team on the red half of Manchester are finally ready to commit to plugging the glaring holes in the club’s engine room ranks.
The 22-year-old, a full Portuguese international, is currently plying his trade with FC Porto, but has previous experience of English football owing to a loan stint with Wolves in 2021.
And last up on the alleged shortlist to reinforce Erik ten Hag’s squad with a view to next season comes in the form of Malcolm Ebiowei.
Ebiowei, a former English youth international, exploded onto the scene in the Championship under the watch of United legend Wayne Rooney this past season.
The 18-year-old is a right winger by trade, but also more than capable of lining out on either the left, or in a centre-forward role.
At this moment, Manchester United are primarily focused on the signings of three players; Frenkie de Jong, Vintinha and Malcolm Ebiowei
