Real Madrid star Rodrygo has caused quite the stir online on Thursday, owing to comments regarding Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
Rodrygo’s quotes have come courtesy of an appearance on the Podpah podcast, during which the Brazilian provided an insight into how he and his teammates made use of added motivation to get the better of Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops of course went head to head with the Reds in European football’s most high-profile fixture for the 2nd time in five years late last month.
A hard-fought 90 minutes ultimately culminated in the former emerging triumphant once more, owing to a solitary 2nd-half strike on the part of Vinicius Jr:

In turn, speaking during an appearance on the aforementioned Podpah podcast, it came as little surprise when the subject of the Champions League finale was put to Real wide-man Rodrygo.
And, whilst discussing the subject, the youngster went on to provide an insight into one member of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool ranks whom he and his teammates were particularly keen to get the better of.
The player in question? Mohamed Salah.
Egyptian international Salah of course caught the headlines in the buildup to the Stade de France showcase, in confirming his intention to seek out ‘revenge’ against Los Blancos, after suffering heartbreak at the hands of the Spanish champions on the same stage four years prior.
Rodrygo, in turn, has revealed that Ancelotti’s stars, during training, would psych themselves up to face Salah, desperate to ‘make fun’ of Liverpool’s star man post-match:
“In training we used to say ‘come Salah, come Salah‘… In our head it was already ‘we have to win to then make fun of Salah‘.”
Not only that, but the Real starlet too confirmed that veteran teammate Luka Modric sent a sarcastic message Salah’s way in the game’s immediate aftermath, as follows:
“When the final was over, Luka Modrić passed in front of Mohamed Salah and said ‘next time you try again’.”
