Antonio Conte and Tottenham have been warned that it will set them back £34m should they wish to prise Piero Hincapie out of Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Spurs are on the hunt for a new left-sided defender this summer, with Ben Davies solid but unspectacular since Conte joined the club. However, it seems as though a deal for Alessandro Bastoni is unlikely, with the Italian keen to remain at Inter Milan this summer.
Meanwhile, fellow target Josko Gvardiol also seems unlikely to leave RB Leipzig this transfer window, while Manchester United interest in Pau Torres could complicate interest for the Spaniard.
As a result, it seems as though Conte and Fabio Paratici are targetting alternatives, with 101 having already reported that Evan Ndicka is one such option.
And now, it seems as though Piero Hincapie is also an option on their list, with Tottenham having reportedly asked after the Ecuadorian defender this summer.
🚨Tottenham Hotspur are now considering a move for left-sided centre-back Piero Hincapié.
🇪🇨Hincapié has been on Spurs’ radar for quite some time and is seen by those within inside the club as a player with great potential.

As per the Sun, however, the lilywhites have been warned that he will not be a cheap option, with as much as £34m required to bring him to north London.
Tottenham to continue spending
Having already landed three new signings, Tottenham are not expected to stop there.
Djed Spence is set to arrive at right wing-back barring a significant change in events, while they are also on the hunt for a new backup forward as well as a left centre-back.
They could yet strengthen further in midfield too, with Christian Eriksen set to choose between Spurs and Manchester United for his next club after leaving Brentford this summer.
