A woman died Sunday night in a house fire in Calais.
Ellen Gibson, 61, lived alone in the Union Street home, where a fire broke out about 9:30 p.m., according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday at the Maine medical examiner’s office in Augusta.
The fire remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
