A man has been detained at Gatwick Airport as police deal with an incident.
Sussex Police said a cordon has been put in place at the drop-off parking area for the north terminal.
The force explained that the action has been taken as a precaution.
One man tweeted that he was locked in a Premier Inn at the airport due to the incident.
“Much of the terminal north closed, police dealing with suspect car parked outside. Couple of hours now,” he said.
A number of social media users reported issues with the airport’s shuttle bus but it appears that services are now running again.
