Thomas Tuchel is looking to revamp his defence this summer.
Following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, Chelsea are on the hunt for replacements.
The Blues have now turned their attentions to Matthijs de Ligt with a deal for Jules Kopunde proving tricky.
Chelsea submit cash + player offer for de Ligt
Tuchel has made de Ligt his number one target and Chelsea are now working on a deal.
The west London club have submitted their opening offer of €25-30million + Timo Werner, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
However, this offer is deemed as being too low by Juventus.
Chelsea are now planning to increase their cash offer to €40-45million.
But once again, Juve are expected to deem this as being too low, with the Bianconeri hoping for clubs to match the player’s release clause.
That being said, the Italian club are searching for an Alavaro Morata replacement and the club appreciates Werner, so, therefore, a deal could be done.
The German is also open to a move to Turin but in order to make the switch, he would need to decrease his wages demands of €10-11million-per-season.
AC Milan working on Hakim Ziyech deal
Di Marzio is also reporting that AC Milan are working on a deal to sign Hakim Ziyech.
The forward has informed the Blues of his desire to leave London and Milan are talking to him.
Both the Italian champions and the player are hoping to make the move happen.
The Moroccan featured just 23 times in the Premier League last season, registering 4 goals and 3 assists.
