An insight into the stance of Premier League-linked RB Leipzig star Tyler Adams when it comes to the prospect of a move to Leeds United has been provided on Saturday.
And the news will no doubt come as music to the ears of those hopeful of seeing the United States international line out in the colours of the Whites next season.
For those not aware, midfielder Adams has been hotly tipped for an Elland Road switch of late.
Amid compatriot Jesse Marsch’s ongoing hunt for reinforcements to his side’s ranks in the middle of the park, the 23-year-old is understood to have been identified as a key target.
Premier League rivals Everton, meanwhile, have too been tipped as a potential summer landing spot for Adams.
All of this comes with those in a position of power at the Red Bull Arena having come to the decision to place the club’s versatile star on their transfer list with a view to next season.
And now, as alluded to above, an insight into the current mindset of none other than Adams himself has been provided.
The info comes courtesy of transfer journalist Ben Jacobs, who has revealed that the 30-time capped international ‘really wants’ to seal a move to Leeds this summer, preferably on loan.
This comes with Adams desperate for regular game-time ahead of the Qatar World Cup later this year.
Not only that, but the New York native has already communicated his desire to land in west Yorkshire to Leeds boss Marsch, making a transfer increasingly likely over the course of the coming weeks.
Tyler Adams really wants a loan move to Leeds. He’s already spoken to Jesse Marsch, who wants another midfielder despite landing Marc Roca. Leipzig open to a deal after Xaver Schlager’s arrival. Adams needs game time ahead of the World Cup. Everton and Sevilla also interested.
