Tottenham continue to change their clothes this summer as Spurs have added another name to their recruitment team in north London after prizing former Iceland international Grétar Steinsson away from Everton.
That report comes via Football.London, stating that Steinsson will now take up his new position as the club’s performance director and will work alongside director of football Fabio Paratici as part of a new-look recruitment department that will hopefully propel Spurs to further heights under Antonio Conte.

In a statement on the club’s official website, Tottenham welcomed the former Premier League player to his new position while citing his experience both on and off the pitch.
“We are pleased to confirm the appointment of Grètar Steinsson as our new Performance Director. A former Iceland international who played against us in the Premier League during his time at Bolton Wanderers and who also lists AZ Alkmaar among his former clubs, Grètar joins us from the Icelandic FA, where he has been working as Technical Advisor.”
“Prior to this, he held senior roles at Everton, where he was Head of Recruitment and Development, and at Fleetwood Town, where he served as Technical Director.”
Steinsson can certainly offer a good deal of Premier League knowledge to the backroom team at Tottenham, given the connections that Conte and Paratici can bring to bear from Serie A and Italy as a whole, which could provide the club with a boost in their ability to continue to prize talent from not just the Premier League, but the Championship as well.
Given Spurs’ expected deal for Djed Spence, further such moves could be in the pipeline moving forward, thanks to Steinsson’s arrival in north London.
