Serie A champions AC Milan are primed to step up their efforts to lure an out-of-favour member of Premier League giants Chelsea’s frontline to the club ahead of next season, according to reports.
The Blues star in the sights of the Rossoneri? Hakim Ziyech.
As confirmed by a whole host of reliable sources over the course of the last couple of weeks, Ziyech has been made available for transfer this summer.
Milan, in dire need of reinforcements on the right flank ahead of the defence of their Scudetto title, are therefore understood to have set their sights firmly on the signature of the Moroccan international.
Talks, in turn, have long been kicked into gear between the transfer team at the San Siro and Ziyech’s representatives, with the player himself understood to be open to the move.
And now, as alluded to above, an opening offer on Milan’s part appears imminent.
As per a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato, the Rossoneri are hopeful of landing Ziyech on loan, in a deal which features an obligation to buy next summer.
A proposal totalling €25 million, in turn, is being readied on the part of Paolo Maldini and co. Chelsea, for their part, are said to be hopeful of securing a sum closer to €30 million, but optimism exists that an agreement will ultimately be struck.
If not, though, Milan could turn their attentions towards Spain, with Real Madrid star Marco Asensio also in the sights of the Italian giants this summer.
