According to the Mirror, Alex Telles will be shipped off this summer after being involved in an altercation with teenage starlet Hannibal Mejbri.
The clash in question is said to have taken place just days after Manchester United lost 4-0 to Brighton in May.
It is added that players had to be pulled apart and then interim manager Ralf Rangnick called a halt to the training session prematurely. The fight is said to have started after a challenge went in.
This is not the first time that Telles has been in a heated confrontation. He had an incident with Bruno Fernandes – where footage emerged online of a dispute with compatriot Fred, with the Portuguese international appearing to be annoyed that the pair were filming footage at United’s Carrington training ground for ‘A Day in the Life’ video for Brazilian football marketing agency O Clube football, when the focus should have been on other matters.
Said incidents are not cited as the reason Telles is set to be sold, though it is hard to see Erik ten Hag being too happy about them.
But in reality, the sale of Telles is more likely to do with the fact United’s main left-back is Luke Shaw and they are set to bring another one in from Feyenoord in the form of Tyrell Malacia.
Malacia is expected to provide competition for Shaw in the forthcoming season. He has made 136 appearances for his current club, scoring four and assisting 10 in said games.
