New Manchester City signing Kalvin Phillips has taken to social media on Sunday, to send a message to the fanbase of his new club.
England international Phillips, of course, brought to an end a lengthy saga surrounding his future late last month, in closing the iconic Leeds United chapter of his career to put pen to paper on terms at the Etihad.
The deep-lying midfielder has committed to terms with Pep Guardiola’s troops through the summer of 2028, to provide competition and cover for Spanish international Rodri.
We are delighted to announce the signing of @Kalvinphillips on a six-year deal 🤩

Phillips, in turn, was due to take his place at the Etihad on Sunday afternoon.
This came as City staged a public unveiling ceremony for not only their latest recruit in the middle of the park, but up top, too, in the form of Erling Haaland.
It therefore no doubt came as a disappointment for all involved upon word coming to the fore that Phillips would not be present at the event, after coming down with a sudden bout of illness.
Eager to reiterate his own sadness at sitting out on Sunday, the Englishman therefore took to social media a short time ago, to send a personal message to the Sky Blues faithful.
After assuring that he was left ‘gutted’, Phillips went on to thank all in attendance this afternoon for ‘making me feel so welcome already’.
Really gutted that I wasn’t feeling well enough to make the @ManCity unveiling today. I’ll see you all soon, thanks for making me feel so welcome already 💙
