Footage centering on an altogether out of favour member of the first-team setup at Italian giants Juventus has gone viral across social media on Sunday.
The player in question? Aaron Ramsey.
Midfielder Ramsey, of course, endured another campaign to forget last time out.
After stuttering to just a solitary start across the opening half of the Serie A season, the Welsh international was farmed out on loan in January, linking up with Scottish heavyweights Rangers.
His ensuing stint in Glasgow, though, did not exactly prove a whole lot more productive, as a fresh series of fitness woes restricted Ramsey to just five more league appearances.
In turn, it has come as little surprise to see speculation rampant in the media over the course of the summer to date that the 31-year-old has been identified as firmly surplus to requirements by parent club Juve.
Some outlets in Italy have even gone as far as to suggest that the Bianconeri are ready to terminate the final year of Ramsey’s contract, to avoid paying out the entirety of his hefty wages for the coming season.
And now, one member of the Juventus faithful has made use of such uncertainty to secure for himself an altogether viral video.
The clip in question surfaced on Sunday afternoon, upon Ramsey’s return to Turin for his pre-season medical tests.
As the Welshman penned autographs for the Bianconeri supporters to have welcomed Massimiliano Allegri’s players back to the club, one such fan produced a piece of paper featuring the words ‘Rescissione Contrattuale’.
Ramsey, evidently unaware of what he was signing, went on to provide his autograph underneath, with footage of the exchange showcased in the video below:
Someone got Ramsey to sign a piece of paper that said contract termination 💀
