Tottenham have confirmed their sixth signing of the 2022 summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites began the window by landing Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic on free transfers.
They also secured the services of Clement Lenglet on loan for the 2022/23 campaign from FC Barcelona.
And in terms of major spending, Spurs have signed Richarlison from Everton for over £50m, and Yves Bissouma from Brighton for around £25m.
Now, as confirmed by Tottenham on Tuesday morning, Djed Spence is their sixth signing of the summer.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Djed Spence from Middlesbrough. The right-back has signed a contract that will run until 2027,” wrote Spurs.

Spence spent 2021/22 out on loan with Nottingham Forest, featuring on 46 occasions as they secured promotion to the Premier League for the first time since 1999.
The full-back put on some starring displays in the FA Cup vs the likes of Leicester and Arsenal, which caught the eye of several top clubs.
One of these was Tottenham, who had also shown an interest in the defender back in 2020 when he enjoyed a purple patch with parent club, Middlesbrough.
