Chelsea have learnt how much they will have to pay to bring Presnel Kimpembe to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Blues are in desperate need of some fresh legs at centre-back, now that Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have departed for Spain.
And a whole host of names have, in turn, been tipped for a Stamford Bridge switch, including Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, Matthijs de Ligt of Juventus and former Chelsea star, Nathan Ake.
So far though, the west Londoners have signed Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and are in a fight with FC Barcelona for Jules Kounde.
De Ligt and Ake, though, will not be heading to the English capital this summer as the former has now signed for Bayern Munich and a deal for Ake collapsed.
Another centre-back target if Chelsea’s though, is Presnel Kimpembe of Ligue 1 giants, PSG.
Kimpembe, now 26, is a product of PSG’s youth system, having only ever lined out in the colours of the French champions.
All told, Kimpembe has featured on 226 occasions for PSG, playing key roles in their countless domestic trophies.
He is under contract at the Parc des Princes until 2024 but could be on his way to England this summer.
According to The Times, Chelsea and Juventus are both interested in the stopper, with PSG asking for £60m to let go of him.
Such a fee would normally a bit steep for Juventus, but they do now have a large transfer fund due to the sale of De Ligt.
As for Chelsea, it is not known if they are willing to spend so much on a third centre-back in the same window.
