Heung-min Son and Harry Kane officially have the most prolific partnership in Premier League history.
The pair top the Premier League charts for most combined goals with 41, beating the previous record of 36, which was held by Chelsea duo Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
Kane and Son also broke a second record in the Premier League in 2021/22 when they combined 14 times in a single season, beating Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton’s total of 13 from back in 1994/95.
And with neither player even 30 years of age yet, it is expected they will go on to extend their current record for most combined goals in the Premier League.
Now, as mentioned above, Son has been discussing his partnership with Kane.
Speaking to GQ Korea, Son said: “I saw Kane’s interview where he said that he spends more time with me than his wife. That’s really the fact though. I also spend more time on the field with Kane than I do with my parents at home.
“We are really close. We understand each other really well, and we also know how the other is off the pitch. Kane and I both know what the other likes. It’s really special.
“We have already made 41 goals together. What Kane and I really have in common is that we both have a lot of greed and have the strong will to always improve. Even beyond football skills, our mindsets are similar.
“I want to continue the record that I have set with a team-mate like this, although our record will be broken one day. Even when we’re training, if one of us makes an assist for the other’s goal, we joke around saying, ‘Hey, it’s our 42nd goal now?’”
Antonio Conte is also no doubt hopeful the duo can help fire Spurs to some much-needed silverware.
Son was Tottenham’s top scorer in the league last season, but Kane did begin firing towards the back end of the campaign when Conte came in.
And if the Italian can get both players at the top of their game for a full season, the Lilywhites should be challenging for silverware on several fronts.
