Missing boater is presumed drowned in Androscoggin River

There’s a search underway for a missing boater who is presumed drowned in the Androscoggin River.

A boat overturned in the Androscoggin River in Topsham on Thursday night, sending three people into the water, according to the Maine Warden Service.

Two of the boaters were rescued, while the third — 32-year-old Richard Stevens of Auburn — is still missing.

Wardens are focusing their search in an area of the river where Topsham and Lisbon meet.
