MIAMI — The rumor mill kicked into high gear when paparazzi caught Gisele Bundchen the past couple of days walking around in Miami by herself sans wedding ring.
On Monday morning, the supermodel, clad in chic athleisure, was photographed talking on her phone, looking downcast.
Granted, most people work out alone and aren’t smiling, but her husband Tom Brady was nowhere in sight. Plus, Bundchen missed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB’s game on Sunday vs. the Kansas City Chiefs, when she had always been a fixture in the stands.
We heard they were living apart amid arguments about Brady’s decision to unretire from football. But others in the know say that isn’t the case, that they have had issues for a while.
Now it’s official. Page Six reports the two have each retained counsel.
In other words: D-I-V-O-R-C-E.
“I don’t think there will be any coming back now,” one source told the outlet. “They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be.”
This split could be quite a doozie. The power couple, who have two kids, are currently building an ecofriendly megamansion on Indian Creek Island. The sure to be fabulous home’s fate and who will live there is unclear.
What’s at stake financially, beside the house? A lot of cheddar. Bundchen and Brady both have heap loads of dough. Maybe enough that they don’t ask any support of one another and can coparent like champs.
The marriage has lasted a little over 13 years.
The former New England Patriot and Brazilian bombshell tied the knot in a small ceremony in Santa Monica, Calif., in February 2009.
