A body found in a car which apparently went off a cliff is thought to be that of a California woman who was reported missing two months ago.
Jolissa Fuentes, 22, was first reported missing on 8 August, NBC News reported.
The wreckage of her car containing her belongings was found on Monday in a ravine near Pine Flat Lake, in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Fresno in California.
NBC News reported how police suspect no suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman’s death – and that she may have just been going for a drive when the accident happened.
Selma police chief, Rudy Alcaraz, who found tyre tracks which led them towards the crash site, said: “We wish that we had better news.
“I wish that we could have brought Ms Fuentes home.”
The woman’s father, Joe Fuentes, called the police chief “my hero” as he had “promised me he was going to find my daughter”.
Fresno County Sheriff, Margaret Mims, said: “There’s little doubt that we have found her.”

Police said tyre tracks left by the vehicle could be seen running through vegetation towards the edge of the cliff.
Search and rescue teams had to use special equipment to reach the crash site.
