A man has been charged with the murder of his wife and daughter, whose bodies were discovered at their home in Suffolk.
Jillu Nash, 44, and her 12-year-old daughter Louise were found dead at a property in Great Waldingfield on 8 September.
A 46-year-old man was detained at the scene after being found with serious injuries.
He subsequently spent five weeks in hospital under police arrest, before being transferred to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning on Saturday.
Suffolk Police said on Sunday that Peter Nash, of Great Waldingfield, had been charged with two counts of murder.
An inquest into the deaths, which opened on 7 October, heard that the property was the home address of Jillu and Peter Nash, who were husband and wife, and who lived at the property “with their 12-year-old daughter Louise who had severe learning difficulties”.
Home Office post-mortem examinations found that Jillu Nash’s cause of death was pressure on the neck.
Her daughter died of a stab wound to the abdomen.
Peter Nash has been remanded in custody and is due before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
