A woman found dead in Aberdeen has been described as a “great sister, brilliant family member and a dear friend to many”.
Jacqueline Kerr’s family also said the 54-year-old will be “sorely missed by all who knew her”.
Police Scotland were called to a property in the city’s Sunnyside Road on Monday morning following a report of concern for a person.
Ms Kerr’s body was found inside.
A 43-year-old man was later arrested in the Scotstown Road area in connection with the incident and has now been charged.
He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
In a statement released by police, Ms Kerr’s family said: “Jacqueline was a fun-loving person.

“She loved her two dogs and loved going to the gym.
“She was a great sister, brilliant family member and a dear friend to many. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.”
A visible police presence will remain in the area as investigating officers continue their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Gary Winter, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of Jacqueline at this extremely difficult time.
“There is no doubt that this incident will cause concern within the community, however, I would like to stress that we are treating this as an isolated and contained matter.
“I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience while this incident is being investigated.”
