A suspect has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man in South Lanarkshire.
Alexander Allan, 43, was found seriously injured within a property in the Ivanhoe area of East Kilbride last Tuesday.
Mr Allan was treated at the scene by paramedics but died a short time later.
Dylan Shaw, 30, was later arrested and charged by Police Scotland in connection with the incident.
Mr Shaw made no plea to the murder charge when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
He has also been accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice and failing to comply with bail conditions.
The case was committed for further examination and Mr Shaw was remanded in custody.
The accused, of East Kilbride, is expected back in court within the next eight days.
