A McDonald’s restaurant in South Wales was forced to close its doors when a group of young people allegedly threw a dead frog into the service area.
Police are investigating after the incident in the Swansea branch at Morfa Shopping Park on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers from South Wales Police went to the scene following reports of anti-social behaviour.
Sergeant Daniel Kathrens said: “South Wales Police was called just before 4.30pm yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 21st February, with a report of anti-social behaviour in McDonald’s in Morfa Shopping Park.
“The report indicated that three youths had brought a dead frog into the premises and set it on a number of tables before allegedly throwing the amphibian into the service area.
“The outlet closed for a period of time to reinstate the appropriate food hygiene and safety standards.
“Inquiries are ongoing to identify the youths.”

South Wales Police are asking anyone with information which could assist the investigation to contact them.
