I think it’s outrageous that a Bangor church apparently thinks they can discriminate against LGBTQ students and staff and still get public money. They have a choice: Discriminate and not get public money, or not discriminate and get public money. Some of that public money they want to grab comes from the pockets of people they discriminate against. Why should those they discriminate against help support them?
That the church can claim religious discrimination is ridiculous. They are the ones discriminating, which is shameful. I certainly don’t want my money going to anyone who discriminates against my fellow citizens!
