Finding her Mr. Right! Bachelor Nation alum Teddi Wright and fiancé Nicholas announced their engagement nearly four months after debuting their relationship.
“So this is love… 
I am engaged and feel so blessed I get to spend forever with my best friend,” the Bachelor season 26 alum, who earned Clayton Echard’s first impression rose, gushed via Instagram in April 2023. “I’ve been crying for days since it happened and it still feels like a dream. Can we take a moment for how good my fiancé (omg) and @jeandousset did on the ring. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!”
Nicholas, who has not publicly shared his last name, popped the question several days earlier at a picturesque outdoor overlook. The registered nurse, for her part, wore a cream-colored gown when she accepted his proposal.
Wright first teased that she had a new man in December 2022, shortly after viewers watched her Bachelor in Paradise season 8 exit. (BiP was filmed the previous summer.)
“Guys sorry I’ve been so MIA but I got COVID and was so down bad. But I’m back though,” the surgical unit nurse wrote via her Instagram Stories at the time, sharing a mirror selfie with Nicholas’ arm wrapped around her. “Here’s what you missed on my hiatus: Still working, dances with my sweet lil boy and also maybe other things that I’ll share later…
.”
Less than one week later, the twosome hard-launched their relationship when Wright shared a carousel of relationship photos via her Instagram. “First new years kiss ever!!” she captioned her slides on New Year’s Day.
The pair have not shared how they first connected, though Wright confirmed in April 2023 that they’ve been together much “longer than” their public debut in late December 2022. The ABC personality also revealed that she and her man had bonded over their shared faith.
“The answer is yes,” she wrote via her Instagram Stories that April after being asked if they both love Jesus. “Plz enjoy this silent video of him calling me to say goodnight & pray together. Good thing he doesn’t have Instagram bc he’d be like, ‘Teddi … why and how do you have this video?’”
Wright initially rose to fame as a standout contestant on Echard’s season of The Bachelor in early 2022. After her elimination, the California native was cast as an early arrival on Bachelor in Paradise and was eager to meet Andrew Spencer after confessing that she had a pre-show crush on the former football player. Wright, however, couldn’t see a romantic spark when they finally met in person.
“I want to get married, and I want to have kids. … I want to go home and move past this and find that person,” Wright said during a confessional from the October 4, 2022, episode. “I feel so bad. Like, I just want to go now. I know you wanted me to find love here and I get that, but, like, I’m just not. I want to go. I’m not going in there and doing a big goodbye with everyone.”
Following her return home, she connected with Nicholas.
