YouTuber Hank Green has revealed he has been diagnosed with cancer.
The popular creator – best known for running the Vlog Brothers channel with sibling John – posted a video on Friday, telling viewers he had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a type of cancer which attacks the lymphatic system.
Mr Green said he would soon be beginning treatment for the disease, adding it is one “the most treatable” cancers.
He said: “It seems likely that we caught mine early. I’m still waiting on a scan to sort of confirm that.”
“The goal is cure,” he added, saying the “procedure to get there is fairly well known if unpleasant,” in a reference to chemotherapy.
He went on to lay out how the diagnosis would impact his YouTube career and the frequency with which he publishes videos.
