A cyclist has embarked on a 3,000-mile journey on a handmade bamboo bike.
Kate Strong set off on the 90-day cycle from Big Ben on World Environment Day.
Her journey will take her across the length and breadth of Britain and she will visit 30 climate projects during that time.
Some of those projects are grassroots movements such as beach clean-ups.
Others focus on nature-based solutions, including rewilding seabeds and gardens.
The Welsh cyclist, who lives in London, has three cycling world records and a triathlon championship title to her name.
Ms Strong said there were “plenty of mental obstacles” facing her at the start of her latest challenge.

“This has been three years in the making. And now I’m finally setting off on this journey 3,000 miles across the UK,” she said.
“Apart from the obvious physical challenges, there are plenty of mental obstacles that come with a 90-day cycle.”
Ms Strong added that she was “grateful” for the support as she set off from the capital.

“As of today, I’m officially homeless and living out of my backpack and tent,” she said.
“I’m so grateful that people will be joining me along the way to keep me motivated as I try to bring awareness to the Climate Cycle, and the amazing projects I’ll be visiting.”
