The man accused of stabbing to death two university students and a school caretaker in Nottingham has appeared in court for a second time.
Valdo Calocane, 31, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody after appearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday.
He will enter pleas in September to three charges of murder and three charges of attempted murder.
A provisional trial date was set for 12 January.
Calocane is accused of murdering University of Nottingham students Grace O’Malley-Kumar and Barnaby Webber, both 19, and school caretaker Ian Coates, 65, in the early hours of 13 June.
Calocane is also alleged to have attempted to murder three other people after they were hit by a van. One of them was left in a critical condition.
Police revealed last week that Calocane was a former student at the University of Nottingham.
He previously appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
