Police closed a street on Wednesday afternoon while executing a search warrant at an apartment building near the corner of Third and Parker streets in Bangor.
Officers could be heard using a bullhorn, asking occupants of two apartments to exit the building with their hands in the air because they had a warrant.
“I know you can hear me,” an officer said. “If you talk to me, I can ensure your safety.”
A couple that lives next door said they were returning home from walking their dogs at a nearby park about 4 p.m. to police blocking off the area. They were allowed back in the perimeter about 5:45 p.m.
Sgt. Jason McAmbley, a city police spokesperson, confirmed that the department was executing a search warrant, but he provided no other information. He said more will be available later today or tomorrow.
