A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a patient at a hospital in Cornwall.
Officers say they were called to Royal Cornwall Hospital, in Treliske, near Truro, following the death of a patient in her 60s on Wednesday.
Devon and Cornwall Police say the death is being treated as “suspicious”.
A spokesperson for Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust has described the death as “unexpected”.
A man in his 30s from the Par area of Cornwall has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police say they believe the woman and the suspect are known to each other.
“Enquiries are ongoing to locate and inform her next of kin,” the spokesperson added.

Officers have cordoned-off a property in relation to the investigation.
In a statement, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust added: “We can confirm we are assisting Devon and Cornwall Police in their investigation into the unexpected death of a patient at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.”
