The two men killed on Knox Street in Lewiston Sunday morning have been identified by police.
Mohammed Sheik, 30, of Auburn and 23-year-old Keyt Hussein of Lewiston were found with fatal gunshot wounds on Knox Street around 10:18 a.m., according to Maine State Police spokesperson Shannon Moss. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner ruled that both deaths were homicides.
Police have spoken to “people of interest” in the case and believe it was an isolated incident, Moss said. No arrests have been made.
