A man who was arrested after police discovered “potentially hazardous chemicals” in a Glasgow flat has appeared in court charged with a number of offences.
Seven police officers and a forensics expert became unwell and were treated on site after they were called out to Altyre Street in Shettleston on Monday evening.
The area was locked down with a bomb squad called and around 80 residents evacuated from their homes overnight as a precaution.
Darren Querns, 34, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the incident, with Police Scotland saying he was charged with domestic offences.
At Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday, Querns faced five separate charges.
He has been accused of assault to injury, behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, stalking, culpable and reckless conduct to danger of life, and having a controlled drug in his possession.
