Two men have suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash between a Ford Transit van and Stagecoach bus.
The 23-year-old driver of the single-decker bus is in a critical condition in hospital, while the 42-year-old driver of the white van is in a serious but stable condition.
Two passengers on the bus, a 68-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, were also taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution and were later discharged.
The crash happened on the A77 in East Ayrshire at around 5.30pm on Monday.
Police Scotland said the incident occurred near to the A719 junction that leads to Galston.
The road was closed for investigation works and eventually reopened at around 3.30am on Tuesday.

Inspector Craig Beaver said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened to come forward.
“In addition, if you were driving in the area around the time of this crash and have dashcam footage that could assist with our investigation, please get in touch.”
