Harry and Meghan will not return to British shores partly because of the relationship between the Duchess of Sussex and the Princess of Wales, a royal biographer has said.
Andrew Morton, who wrote a biography of Diana, Princess of Wales called Diana: Her True Story, shared some insights on the duke and duchess in an interview with Trevor Phillips on Sunday.
Asked whether he thinks Harry and Meghan will ever return to Britain, Mr Morton said: “What, and have Meghan Markle curtseying to Kate Middleton?
“I don’t think so.
“I don’t see that as a runner. They’ve got their own lives in California. They’ve got their own set, they’ve got their own influence, and they’ve got their own companies.”
His comments come days before the Duke of Sussex is expected to return to the UK to mark the one-year anniversary of the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died on 8 September 2022.
Harry was last in the UK in early June when he gave evidence at the High Court in a claim against the publisher of the Daily Mirror over alleged hacking.

Elsewhere in the interview with Mr Morton, he remarked on the attention his biography about Diana received following its publication.
He said he thinks it’s because people initially “bought into the fairytale” between Prince Charles, who is now king, and the “beautiful princess”.
He added that it was a “post-modern fairytale as there was no happy ending”.
“I think that single issue propelled the book into international status. And also Diana herself singlehandedly turned the Royal Family from what you might call a Home Counties monarchy into an international institution,” he said.
