FALMOUTH, Maine — The Falmouth Police Department says they’re searching for a suspect for a robbery that took place at Shaw’s on Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the Shaw’s at 251 Route 1 in Falmouth at around 10 a.m. for a report of that robbery, police said.
Store employees say that the suspect approached the customer service counter and demanded the money that was in the register. The suspect said he was armed but no weapon was presented or displayed, police said.
That suspect was provided an undisclosed amount of currency and fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is being described as a middle-to-older aged white male. The suspect was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt with unknown writing/logo on the left chest, a baseball cap, sunglasses, baggy gray colored pants and steel toe boots.
Falmouth Police are currently investigating and do not believe there is any threat to the community.
