A pedestrian is fighting for their life following a collision with a cyclist near to the Scottish Parliament.
The crash happened on Horse Wynd in Edinburgh at around 10.40am on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the 66-year-old female pedestrian was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where medical staff describe her condition as critical.
Police Scotland said the 20-year-old male cyclist was also taken to hospital to be checked over and was later discharged.

Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch.”
