Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez‘s whirlwind romance came to an unexpected end two years after they tied the knot.
The duo were first spotted together in February 2020 while dining with friends at Bar Louie in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles. The following month, a source told Us Weekly that Grande and Gomez were officially dating. However, Grande didn’t confirm their relationship until May 2020, when Gomez appeared in her and Justin Bieber’s “Stuck With U” music video.
“Ariana sees something different in Dalton that she has never seen before in guys she has previously dated,” a source exclusively told Us in August 2020, while noting the pair met after Grande had hired him as her real estate agent. “He is the type of guy she has been looking for. He’s very protective of her, will go out of his way for her and does little things that are chivalrous. Dalton will go above and beyond to meet her needs.”
After nine months of dating, the then-couple announced they were engaged. Us confirmed in May 2021 that the twosome officially tied the knot. “The room was so happy and full of love,” a rep for the two said at the time. “The couple and both families couldn’t be happier.”
In July 2023, however, Us confirmed that Grande and Gomez separated after two years of marriage as they experience a “rough patch.” The pair finalized their divorce less than three months later.
